connect is a sol community based around a group of people using the same social media app. they all have a 0-2 degree of separation, their connections varying from family, to friends, exes, and enemies. for more information please navigate through the links below. our community is closed to the public, please submit any questions here.

behavior

be respectful and kind to other members at all times. we are here to have fun, write, and collaborate together. that only works if everyone feels safe posting their writing and knows they won't be judged. don't blur any lines; anything that happens ic should stay that way and vice-versa. our approach to an open friendspage won't work unless everyone abides by these rules. our ultimate goal is to avoid any unnecessary ooc drama of our writing space. racism, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, xenophobia, misogyny, any other form of discrimination along with bullying and harrassment will not be tolerated and result in an immediate ban. consistent breaking of other rules will not be tolerated and will result in you being banned from the game/website as well.

interaction

be friendly and welcoming to all existing and new members. this means offering up meaningful storylines, encouraging others, invest in their character stories, and commenting/interacting outside of your friend circle whenever you can. we understand that not every character meshes or their connection would not foster interaction, but we encourage you to reach out and try whenever an opportunity presents itself.

character creation

pick an appropriate background for your face claim that honors their ethnicity. whitewashing is not acceptable. we expect all members to do their own research when it comes to their face claim and may ask that you change details if it is not in alignment. characters and writers of all race, gender identity, and sexual orientation are all welcome here. all characters and pbs must be at least 21. all writers joining our game should be over 18, by applying you are certifying your age. we understand some characters may have experienced darker or more emotionally intense things in their histories which may come up in narratives or conversation. we ask that you use trigger warnings in writing, get consent from other writers before springing anything potentially triggering on them, and be thorough in your research.

activity

our activity requirements are fairly lax compared to other games. we understand that everyone is an adult with lives that require attention and writing is merely a hobby we all enjoy. once accepted, you are required to post in the ooc storyline community within 48 hours. each month we will post an activity check on the 15th that everyone has until the 20th to respond to with the activity they completed for the month. activity can be anything from a piece of writing, public comments to others that show thought and interest, interacting in an ooc plot post, or posting anything on the friendspage. if you need an extension on your activity, comment the member's area in the mod journal. if real life creeps up on you and you need a break, please comment the member's area for a hiatus. we allow members to take a hiatus for up to eight weeks.
